A Senior Installation Technician is a person that is highly technically skilled at installing and replacing all aspects of residential heating and cooling systems. A senior Installation Technician possess the strong leadership  and organizational skills necessary to efficiently direct and supervise an assistant while completing installations on  time and without need for call-backs.

    A Senior Installation Technician must possess the strong listening and communication skills required to  interact with the homeowner/customer. A Senior Installation Technician  will get the job done right the first time. A direct line of communication with the Operations manager and the sales team is always open to support and reinforce job quality.

     Senior Installation Technicians keeps current on changes in the industry. Things like: new equipment, equipment  modifications, new installation techniques, new tools and other advances. Every Senior Technician is expected to share their  newfound information with their fellow  associates for the benefit of the team.

Job Overview:

The Job requirements for the position of Senior Installation Technician

• Superior mechanical skills
• Strong leadership qualities

• Solid communication skills

• Strong high school math skills
• Graduated from an accredited HVAC technical institute
• Possess Type 11 or Universal Refrigeration Certification
• Minimum of three (2) years field experience as an Installation Technician
• Perform an initial set-up a Oil or gas natural draft and or direct vent heater, water heater, electric heat pump or central air conditioning system.
• The ability to read, understand and sort through schematic
• Be able to properly use a volt-ohmmeter to diagonse a problem
• Be able to use a magnahelic to properly adjust natural gas boilers, furnaces and gas water heaters.
• Be able to use a carbon monoxide analzyer to determine draft and other CO problems.
• The ability to use a ductulator to measure the results against an existing duct system size to insure proper design.
• The ability to plumb a water and or steam boiler properly.
• The ability and desire to communicate to homeowners the advantage
• Possess all of the company required hand tools.
• The desire to set goals, measure your performance and reach your goals
• The desire to attend training classes to advance your knowledge and skill.
